Sad news today in our galaxy. Carrie Fisher (60) has passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on her flight back from London to LAX on December 23. For a brief time, there were reports that she was rebounding and it looked like she was going to survive the event. Unfortunately, Fisher lost her battle 4 days later at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
Carrie Fisher needs little introduction. She has a broad history of performances, but she is best known for her timeless and iconic role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars films. She was a hero and inspiration for young girls and women everywhere, as she was also an avid supporter of women challenging the status quo. Fisher is also known for her battle with drug addiction, which ultimately lead her to touring the world as a motivational speaker giving speeches to others struggling with addiction and personal demons.
Welcome to the Force, Carrie. You will be missed.
